Shipyard Pipe Spool Fabrication Specialist

Everett Ship Repair (ESR), founded in 2019 in Everett, Washington, is the Pacific Northwest’s premier destination for ship repair. We provide repair, maintenance, and conversion services for an array of commercial vessels, with a special emphasis on commercial workboats and passenger vessels. With significant dry-docking capacity and the U.S. Navy as our neighbor, we are actively expanding our footprint, skillsets, and market presence to win Navy work. Join a high-caliber crew that continuously improves methods and builds best-in-class reliability.

Your Impact

  • Fabricate, fit, and install metal and nonmetallic piping systems to engineering drawings across all build and rebuild phases—from spooling to installation and sea trials.
  • Operate in multiple environments: shop fabrication, modular jigs, and aboard finished assemblies.
  • Lay out, cut, prep, and assemble spools and full piping packages for modules and final assembly.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend to spec using hand/power tools and machinery (cutters, threaders, benders).
  • Use trade tools including pipe/union wrenches, threading machines, and tube/pipe benders.
  • Read and apply standard and metric blueprints to build complex systems, spools, and foundations.
  • Perform tack and minor welds using MIG and Arc processes.
  • Operate metal-forming equipment: shears, band saws, rollers, benders, and presses.
  • Cut steel, aluminum, and stainless with Oxygen/Propane torches.
  • Collaborate with teammates—communicate clearly, adapt, interpret conditions, and solve problems.
  • Model safe shipyard work practices and maintain strong housekeeping.
  • Foster cooperative relationships with crewmates and supervisors.
  • Mentor others by sharing trade knowledge, including apprentices.
  • Support additional shipyard tasks as required.
