Venture Dynamics is seeking an experienced Shipyard Safety Inspector to provide health and safety oversight across Navy and commercial ship repair operations. The Shipyard Safety Manager enforces compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations while serving as the primary safety resource for production trades working aboard vessels, in dry docks, and throughout active shipyard environments. This role operates with minimal supervision and is responsible for daily inspections, hazard mitigation, incident investigation, and safety training. This role is offered on a contract basis, with strong potential for long-term or permanent placement based on performance and client need.

Additional Information Work is performed aboard vessels, in dry docks, and in active shipyard environments supporting Navy and commercial ship repair operations. Duties require daily entry into confined spaces, climbing ladders, working at heights, and traversing scaffolding systems. Exposure to industrial noise, welding fumes, vapors, dust, and variable outdoor conditions is expected; up to 90% of work time may be spent in an outdoor shipyard environment. Respiratory protection may be required based on task or location. PPE is required in accordance with site safety policies. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required. Work schedules may include overtime and variable shifts based on production needs. Reliable transportation is required to report to assigned shipyard or project locations.
