Overview:

LMI seeks a Shipyard Site Lead/Asset Manager with experience in facility and infrastructure engineering, sensor technology installation, and shipyard operations. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our clients achieve their missions. As part of our high-performing team, you will be the site lead responsible for coordinating all activities required to replace RFID technology at one of four locations (Norfolk, Va, Bremerton, Wa, Pearl Harbor, HI, or Portsmouth, NH) while considering legacy infrastructure constraints. As primary site lead, this lead role will also include establishing, communicating, and overseeing implemetnation of best practices for technology installation across all four shipyards. The site lead will also be responsible for managing the entire technology inventory for the selected location, developing and owning client relationships, and developing new programs. Active security clearance required; applicant must be a U.S. Citizen. 

 

You will be responsible for coordinating the replacement and deployment of shipyard sensor systems, providing infrastructure design and planning technical expertise, coordinating field activities, and overseeing execution as an extension of the Program Management Team. Once systems have been deployed, you will inspect project sites and systems and identify technical and sustainment issues. You will serve as a site lead executing the deployment activities per plan from installation logistics, testing, and training to ensure a smooth transition to operational status. The role requires you to rely on extensive engineering experience, collaborative stakeholder engagement skillsets, and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May lead and direct the work of others, including a cross-functional team of employees and subcontractors.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner and single POC for the government project lead. 
  • Generate and implement new solutions to expand impact across NADACS use cases. 
  • Manage lifecycle ownership of all assets at designated shipyard.
  • Develop, communicate, and facilitate implemetnation of best practices for NADACS integration across all 4 Naval shipyards. 
  • Lead initiatives for process improvement across Naval shipyards. 
  • Prepare briefs, engage with stakeholders, and provide regular updates on deployment status and mitigate concerns.
  • Oversee and execute project implementation at the Naval Shipyard
  • Identify migration strategies to transition from legacy systems and technologies to modernized solutions.
  • Prepare and update installation schedule in coordination with government and subcontractor leads
  • Conduct site design reviews and recommend installation alternatives
  • Provide detailed analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for improvements, optimizations, and enhancements for critical challenges
  • Collect and analyze project data to advise program management team of issues and recommended solutions
  • Conduct site surveys and walk-throughs during planning phase
  • Recommend infrastructure enhancements required for successful system implementation
  • Identify pre-existing pRFID equipment, develop deployment plan, and execute integration into NADACS system.
  • Maintain Inventory accountability standards for all NADACS equipment.
  • Coordinate Shipyard LAN surveys, develop technical drawings, and prepare approval report.
  • Responsible for daily implementation operations across diverse team of subcontractor installation experts
  • Conduct status updates with stakeholders
  • Ensure installation adheres to planned schedule
  • Report daily status updates to Program Management Team
  • Identify and overcome obstacles, recommend corrective actions, and mitigate project risk.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in facility and infrastructure engineering, sensor technology installation, and shipyard operations
  • Experience with industry Sensor / IOT
  • Experience in industrial operations
  • Experience with IOT sensors and connections
  • Active security clearance required; applicant must be a U.S. Citizen

 

Target salary range: $109,242 - $189,108
