Schedule:
Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between the hours of 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sundays.
The Weekend Shoe Runner will be required to work a minimum of 2 full weekends per month (both Saturday and Sunday), or every other weekend. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Assist in Mens, Womens, and Youth shoe areas
Be proactive in communicating with the Specialty Shop Manager and team to understand the urgent needs in the area
Select shoes from backstock and place them in the staging area for sales associates
Return any unpurchased shoes to the correct areas in backstock
Assist Customer Service with shoe return processing and return items to the sales floor
Keep the product organized to eliminate clutter and maintain accurate inventory records
Initiate a warm and welcoming interaction with customers, establishing a rapport and offering assistance, setting a positive tone for the customers experience
Maintaining a smooth flow of service to minimize wait times for customers
Ability to be organized, multi-task, and maintain all aspects of the Shoe Runner role
Ability to work independently and with the team
Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and promptly
Ability to apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Demonstrates attention to detail
Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels policies and procedures
Willing to do other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and merchandiser Leads
Work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Education & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and or 1-3 months of sales experience
Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
