Shop Assistant

Description:

Equipment Services Plus is seeking a reliable, hardworking Shop Hand to assist with daily operations at our Joliet location. 

This position is perfect for someone hands-on, organized, and eager to help where needed. 

The Shop Hand will support the shop staff by maintaining cleanliness, making parts runs, and handling various tasks that may arise throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities 

• Maintain the shop's cleanliness and organization (sweeping, trash removal, wiping down surfaces, etc.). 
• Assist technicians and shop staff as needed. 
• Perform parts runs to local suppliers and vendors.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment. 
• Organize inventory and stock supplies.
• Help maintain tools and equipment. 
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Complete other general shop duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record 
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. 
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn 
• Ability to follow directions and work independently  
• Previous shop or warehouse experience is a plus, but is not required 
• Punctual and dependable

 Work Environment 

• Fast-paced shop environment 
• Physically active role requiring standing, lifting, and moving throughout the day
