Job Overview: 
The shop floor planner is responsible for coordinating the packaging, documentation, and shipment of materials to support work orders, customer orders, and inventory accuracy. The position ensures timely, accurate domestic shipments, maintains inventory integrity through audits and system transactions, and supports production, quality, and customer requirements. Attention to detail, strong coordination with carriers and internal teams, and a commitment to safety and organization are essential for success.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the packaging and retrieving of material for work orders, shipments and RFOK and assists the parts coordinator and warehouse coordinator as needed
  • Completes BOL, work orders & other shipping documents with accuracy
  • Follows instructions to package products per customer requirements
  • Coordinates & manages the shipments of all orders
  • Uses the Sales Order backlog report to identify shipments
  • Maintains inventory in PMOWHSE through bin audits and cycle counts
  • Communicates with carriers to schedule on time deliveries
  • Manages all small parcel and heavy weight air domestic shipments
  • Maintains indirect materials documentation for Supply Chain review
  • Supports team lead with any issues related to quality or customer support
  • Maintains accurate transactions and shipments in Oracle
  • Works to maintain a safe, clean, organized work station
  • Ensures that quality reflects expectations of customers
  • Assures material is issued to work orders then closes and transacts into a stock location
  • Finds and tags items on “Hot List”
  • Maintain rotor documentation for assembly. Sub-transfer when moved.
  • Assist operators with WO Issues
  • Orders shipping/packaging material. (One Supply)
  • Assist with aging WO list


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years of Inventory control or shop floor planning in a manufacturing envrioment


Key Competencies:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Follows policies and procedures, supports the organization’s goals & overall company culture.
  • Ability to have attention to detail and great communicaition


Preferences:

  • Experience using Oracle
  • Fork lift experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office experince with Excel, Word and Outlook

 
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
This position will be based at our site in Mocksville, NC, with no anticipated travel.
