We are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Engine Shop Supervisor<\/b> to lead our engine department and oversee the maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of heavy -duty diesel engines in Garner, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands -on leader with strong technical expertise and a commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess 5–10 years of diesel engine experience<\/b>, with a strong preference for individuals who have worked extensively with Caterpillar engines and generators<\/b>.

Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span>
<\/h2>
  • Supervise and support a team of 10 -15 diesel technicians, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
    <\/li>
  • Coordinate workflow, assign jobs, and monitor shop productivity.
    <\/li>
  • Oversee engine diagnostics, repairs, overhauls, and complete rebuilds.
    <\/li>
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to technicians when troubleshooting complex issues.
    <\/li>
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations.
    <\/li>
  • Maintain accurate repair documentation and utilize computerized maintenance and shop management systems.
    <\/li>
  • Work closely with parts and service personnel to ensure timely completion of repairs.
    <\/li>
  • Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    <\/li>
  • Monitor quality control and ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
    <\/li><\/ul>

    Qualifications:<\/b><\/span>
    <\/h2>
    • 5–10 years of experience<\/b> in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
      <\/li>
    • Previous leadership, foreman, or supervisory experience is preferred.
      <\/li>
    • Strong knowledge of heavy -duty diesel engines and engine rebuilding procedures.
      <\/li>
    • Caterpillar engine experience is highly preferred.<\/b>
      <\/li>
    • Experience with engine diagnostics and troubleshooting.
      <\/li>
    • Strong computer skills and familiarity with maintenance management software.
      <\/li>
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
      <\/li>
    • Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
      <\/li>
    • Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
