Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to provide technical leadership within a busy RV service department. This is a hands-on leadership role for an accomplished RV technician who is ready to take the next step in their career while remaining actively involved in service and diagnostics.

The Shop Foreman will serve as the go-to technical resource for the team, helping technicians work through challenging repairs, improving shop efficiency, and ensuring quality workmanship. In addition to advanced repair work, this role will play an important part in supporting daily shop operations and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership and support for the service department.
  • Diagnose and repair complex RV systems with minimal supervision.
  • Assist technicians with difficult repairs and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance, hydraulic, and mechanical RV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair 12V and 120V electrical systems.
  • Service Aqua-Hot systems, slide-outs, leveling systems, awnings, and other major RV components.
  • Perform service work on diesel pusher coaches, focusing on coach systems rather than heavy chassis repairs.
  • Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) to ensure units meet quality standards before delivery.
  • Conduct customer orientations and walkthroughs to demonstrate RV features and operation.
  • Help coordinate workflow to keep repairs progressing efficiently throughout the shop.
  • Mentor technicians by providing guidance, training, and technical support.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
  • Step into complex repairs whenever additional technical expertise is needed.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience repairing and servicing RVs, preferably in a dealership environment.
  • Advanced diagnostic skills across a wide range of RV systems.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel pusher coach systems.
  • Experience servicing:
    • 12V and 120V electrical systems
    • Aqua-Hot systems
    • Slide-outs
    • Hydraulic and electric leveling systems
    • Awnings
    • Plumbing systems
    • Appliances
    • HVAC systems
    • General mechanical RV components
  • Roof repair experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience within a service department.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance hands-on productivity with supporting the overall success of the shop.
  • Stable work history with a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
