Description
Talon Recruiting has partnered with a leading heavy truck dealership. We are seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to join their growing team in Swedesboro, NJ.
Qualifications:
5+ years shop experience required, 2+ years of Shop Management Experience
Must possess a high school diploma /GED, and vocational or technical certifications.
Cummins, Paccar, Allison, Eaton and CAT experience/certifications are required but the ideal candidate will have certifications and/or experience with all or most of these systems.
A valid CDL is preferred.
Must be able to pass a background check, motion test and drug screen.
A proven track record in the diagnosing, repairing and rebuilding of diesel engines, after treatment systems, transmissions, differentials and power dividers.
A proven track record of diagnosing and fixing complex electrical issues, reprogramming ECM, CECU, VECU and other control modules.
A proven track record of training apprentices to be competent in foundational repair work such as Brakes, PMs, PDIs, Air Systems and Suspension Work.
A demonstratable understanding of using software programs to update and diagnose aftertreatment, engine and ABS issues. Davie4, Insight, ESA, Guidanz and CAT experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform truck diagnostics, repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards.
Must be able to train others in both basic mechanical skills and complex diagnostic issues.
The ability to work as part of a larger team, take instructions, and apply working knowledge to day-to-day activities.
Willingness to travel to attend training course.
Must keep shop area clean and orderly in compliance with company safety policy.
Be willing to constantly strive for personal and professional improvement.
Must be willing to think about the needs of the customers.
