Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
Shop Management: Includes planning, organizing, and directing the repair and overhaul of equipment. Overseeing daily shop operations, prioritizing work orders, and maintaining records. Coordinating with other departments is also essential.
Team Leadership & Supervision: This involves supervising and managing a team of technicians, providing guidance, and technical expertise. Responsibilities also include recruitment, training, scheduling, performance reviews, and fostering teamwork.
Technical Expertise & Quality Control: Duties include diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues, inspecting repairs for quality and safety compliance, and staying updated on industry advancements.
Customer Service: Involves interacting with customers to address concerns, provide estimates, and ensure a positive experience, as well as maintaining customer goodwill.
Other: May include assisting with work order estimates, coordinating with the parts department, supporting the branch safety program, and effective communication. Journey-level repair work may also be required on occasion.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Seven or more years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair are typically required, with previous supervisory experience preferred. Equipment includes air compressors, centrifuges & oily water separators, generators, motors, pumps, blowers, vacuum systems, controls, nitrogen generators, municipal systems, phase converters, and water makers.
Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge, proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, and familiarity with tools and practices are essential.
Managerial Skills: This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills, along with effective planning and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective interaction with the team, customers, and others.
Other: Proficiency in relevant software and the ability to manage stress are also important.
