Craft Full Time Crawfordsville, IN Posted 2 weeks ago Website The Systems Group POSITION: Spray-Cooled Shop Foreman LOCATION: Crawfordsville, IN Pay: Up to $45/Hour The Systems Group is looking for an energetic individual to be our next Shop Foreman. We are looking for someone to help with the day-to-day issues that pop up but to also be part of the big picture and contribute to the long-term strategy of our operations across the country. Shop Foreman Responsibilities: Manage a team of 8+ welders/fabricators rebuilding heavy industrial equipment Work directly to train introductory personnel to excel at their craft. Coordinate with customers for equipment tracking, rebuild schedules, and change out dates Track supply and material inventory Ensure team members are following safe work practices while keeping shop in safe working condition Document Daily progress Monitor completed work for quality standards Conduct equipment inspections before releasing equipment back into service Benefits - Company subsidized health insurance, 401(k) plan with employer match, paid vacation, paid holidays, and opportunities for continuing education, such as NCCER certifications and our in-house Welding Training Program. Shop Foreman Skills: Must be prepared to handle emergency repairs Ability to read drawings Must be able to multi-task - oversee multiple projects at one time Must be able to effectively communicate with the shop employees to assure that the shop runs as efficiently as possible Experience and Requirements: Knowledge of MIG/Fluxcore structural welding required Knowledge of Air Carbon - Arc Gouging (CAC-A), Oxy/Gas cutting, and grinding operations Minimum 4 years of Supervisory Experience Several years of experience in a fabrication shop is required OSHA Approved Met-Guard boots (annual company allowance provided) Must be able to weld and pass qualification test coupons during the pre-employment test Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen So, do you think you have what it takes to join The Systems Family?
