Job Title: Tool Room & Composite Technician Assistant
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday (1st Shift)
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Tool Room & Composite Technician Assistant to support shop operations by maintaining equipment, managing inventory, assisting with composite fabrication, and performing general facility upkeep. This position plays a key role in ensuring tools, materials, and work areas are organized, stocked, and ready for production teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic mechanical repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities.
- Equip and deploy inventoried tools for Machinists, Composite Technicians, and Shop Tool Kits to improve organization, standardization, and efficiency.
- Assist with warehouse inventory control, including counting, tracking, and categorizing parts and materials.
- Maintain stockroom organization and inventory accuracy.
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including trash removal, floor sweeping, and snow removal as needed.
- Assemble, fabricate, and repair products using composite parts and materials.
- Lay out composite materials for molding and production processes.
- Track, record, and document work completed, materials used, and finished products.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools safely.
- Ability to work in a warehouse, manufacturing, or shop environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks.
- Experience with inventory control, stockroom operations, or composites is a plus but not required.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to learn.
