The primary responsibility of a Shop Helper is to perform general labor tasks. In this position, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Must pass all required pre-employment screenings - Background, MVR, Physical, Drug screen. Be able to comply with all drug and alcohol policies of Houma Armature Works and/or customer sponsored programs. Subject to random Drug and Alcohol screenings. Be able to operate motor vehicles in compliance with all state and federal requirements, if travel required. Possess valid identification. Must be willing to work evenings and/or weekends, if required. Ability to successfully complete all required training, in-house/offsite. Forklift and overhead crane certification required. Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic/Experienced mechanic knowledge. Basic computer skills. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read, write and follow work instructions. Ability to interface with co-workers and customers. Ability to prioritize, organize and meet deadlines. Team player attitude with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
