Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Shop Helper to join a growing fabrication team in Sapulpa. This hands-on position supports skilled craftsmen with daily fabrication and production activities while assisting with material handling, equipment operation, and maintaining a safe, organized shop environment.

Required Experience & Skills
Previous shop, fabrication, manufacturing, or construction experience preferred
Ability to safely use basic hand tools and power tools
Ability to read basic shop instructions and accurately use a tape measure
Willingness to learn overhead crane operation and material handling procedures
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist welders, fitters, and craftsmen with daily fabrication and production tasks
Support material movement using cranes, forklifts, and other shop equipment as directed
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to complete assigned tasks
Stage materials and components for production operations
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the shift
Follow production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards
Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or material shortages to supervisors
Perform additional shop and production duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a fabrication or heavy industrial manufacturing environment
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with shop tools
Experience operating cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment
Ability to read fabrication drawings or shop work instructions
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and industrial machinery while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working in a physically demanding fabrication environment
Work Environment
Heavy industrial fabrication and manufacturing facility
Exposure to cranes, forklifts, welding operations, fabrication equipment, and industrial machinery
