Job SummaryWatson Custom Tanks is actively hiring a Shop Helper to support our growing metal fabrication and manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on production role ideal for dependable individuals looking to build a long-term career in a fast-paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities

Build wooden crates, skids, and pallets for shipmentLoad and unload equipment, raw materials, and freightOperate forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided if needed)Assist with grinding, washing tanks, and removing protective filmSupport shipping and receiving activitiesGather parts and materials to maintain production flowAssist shop floor teams with general labor tasksPerform shop cleanup, including dumping scrap using forkliftsMaintain safe, organized, and efficient work areasPerform additional duties as needed to support operations

QualificationsEducation

High school diploma or GED preferred

Experience & Technical Skills

2+ years of manufacturing or shop experience preferredForklift experience preferredAbility to read tape measures accuratelyExperience using hand and power tools

Soft Skills

Strong verbal communication and teamwork skillsProfessional, respectful interaction with coworkers and customersAbility to follow instructions and safety procedures

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periodsFrequent lifting and moving up to 50 poundsUse of hands, arms, and fine motor skillsVision requirements include close, distance, color, and depth perceptionMust wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe boots
