Shop Laborer

The Shop Laborer plays a vital role in supporting maintenance and construction tasks within a small team environment. This position involves assisting with various machine maintenance activities, operating cutting tools such as oxyacetylene and plasma cutters, power washing and performing basic upkeep on heavy equipment. The Shop Laborer is also responsible for site cleanup and is encouraged to develop new skills like welding under supervision, reporting directly to the Shop Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with welding support tasks
• Operate oxyacetylene cutting equipment
• Perform plasma cutting operations
• Conduct basic maintenance on heavy machinery
• Maintain clean and safe work sites
• Operate various hand and power tools effectively
• Power washing

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in general labor roles
