Shop Maintenance Tech
Estis Midland Shop- PRO - Midland, TX 79707
Position Overview:
Provides fabrication and overhaul of refurbishment of packages. Assembles, repairs, rebuilds, and maintains Compressor Packages following the specifications of Estis Compression.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices
- Provide technical advice, coaching, and guidance to managers and employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes
- Must be able to read and understand construction of project to engineering drawings and designs.
- Must fully understand Packaging Standards established by Compressor Manufacturers
- Knowledge of control panels and Variable Frequency Drives
- Analyze and revolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
- Maintains time and production records
- Adhere to safety requirements by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
- Maintains a clean, organized, productive, efficient, and safe workplace through implementing common sense organizational processes, 5S methodology, and daily cleaning systems
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 5+ years Shop or mechanic or related experience preferred
- Strong customer service, interpersonal skills
- Must be able to be "on-call" for emergencies when necessary
- Skilled in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work well with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization
- Valid Driver's License with satisfactory driving record
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and use ladder for long periods of time daily
- Lift up to 80 pounds as needed
- Vision required: 20/40 with or without corrective lenses to accurately read all related distribution documents
- Ability to communicate verbally using a telephone
Working Conditions:
- Shop environment with controlled temperatures
- Subject to outdoor environment with adjusting temperatures and climate
