Shop Manager – Misc. Metals Fabrication

We are seeking an experienced Shop Manager to oversee day-to-day operations in a misc. metals fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication, welding, production, and shop management, with the ability to lead a team and keep projects moving efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily shop operations, production schedules, and workflow.
• Lead and oversee shop personnel, welders, and fabricators.
• Review drawings and fabrication requirements.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower needs.
• Monitor production quality and address issues as they arise.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and field teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Help improve shop efficiency, productivity, and overall production processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in misc. metals, structural steel, or related metal fabrication.
• Previous shop supervision or management experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of welding, fabrication, and shop processes.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication and construction drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• OSHA/safety-minded with a strong commitment to quality.
