If your skills and experience are a match for the position described below, we'd love to hear from you.OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing company vehicles and equipment.Duties/Responsibilities:Service and repair company vehicles and equipment in a safe, quality, and timely mannerTroubleshoot and identify necessary repairsInstall equipmentPerform typical maintenance services at scheduled intervalsInspect vehicles and equipment and report issues to the Fleet Maintenance DepartmentDocumentationComplete work orders and maintain detailed notes about repairs and replacementsLook for and report tamperingMake a note of repetitive issues that could trigger warranty coverageRecommend installation changes that could reduce repairs needed over timeComplete and submit all required documents in an accurate and timely mannerWork proficiently in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, OutlookKeep work area clean and secureComply with federal and state vehicle requirementsComply with company and federal safety rules, policies, and proceduresMaintain and establish cooperative working relationshipsSpeak effectively with customers and employees of the companyServe as an example for other employees; foster a culture of respect, integrity, and kindnessOther duties as assignedRequirements/Qualifications: 1+ year diesel mechanic experience; electrical construction experience preferredOwnership of repair toolsExperience with Smart Phones, tablets, and laptops preferredExperience with welding preferredClass A valid CDL and clean driving record preferredMust be comfortable working outdoors in extreme temperatures and conditionsAbility to work with minimal to no supervision and perform independent tasks based upon the general directionPhysical Requirements:Ability to regularly lift 40 pounds and periodically lift up to 75 poundsAbility to climb up into big rigs, crawl under vehicles, maneuver around equipment and vehicles to work on themAbility to manipulate hands, arms, and fingers to use hand tools and power toolsAbility to see in minimal light at times, differentiating color and texture to identify concernsUtilitra is committed to building and sustaining an equitable and inclusive work environment where diversity is expected and valued.
