Position Summary
Seeking a Shop Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of heavy construction equipment in a shop environment. This role will support both company-owned and customer-owned equipment while performing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical repairs. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, heavy equipment experience, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair construction equipment including cranes, lifts, bulldozers, and other heavy machinery.
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical repairs and maintenance.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and equipment inspections to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize diagnostic software, laptops, gauges, and testing equipment to identify equipment issues.
• Read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and technical documentation.
• Complete service reports, work orders, and repair documentation while maintaining OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment or construction equipment.
• Proficiency with laptop-based diagnostics and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and service manuals.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic welding skills and familiarity with common shop tools.
• Customer-focused attitude with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on Liebherr, Roadtec, Gomaco, Manitowoc, or Grove equipment.
• Experience with cranes, lifts, earthmoving equipment, and paving equipment.
• Knowledge of OEM repair procedures and equipment diagnostics.
• Experience performing hydraulic and electrical system repairs.
