Shop Service Technician — Truck-Mounted Cranes, Bucket & Digger Trucks

Are you looking for steady day‑shift work Monday through Friday—with overtime when the workload calls for it and only limited Saturdays—while building mastery on bucket trucks, boom systems, aerial cranes, and digger derricks? What you’ll do

• Own PMs, diagnostics, and repairs on truck‑mounted utility equipment across multiple manufacturers: boom, bucket, digger, dump, service, forestry, and aerial cranes.
• Work on diesel engines and truck chassis while tackling hydraulics, electrical systems/diagnostics, drive train, and suspension.
• Identify wear or damage; repair or replace components to meet strict quality benchmarks.
• Log parts, services, and labor precisely; route all work/repair orders to your supervisor to maintain budgets and accurate cost capture.
• Champion shop safety every day and participate in Custom Truck One Source monthly safety meetings.
• Pitch in on other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed

• At least 3 years of experience with utility trucks, diesel, medium/heavy trucks, or similar equipment.
• Hands‑on capability in hydraulics, electrical, drive train, and suspension.
• Comfortable using computers and documenting repair activity.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical schooling or Military Wheeled Mechanic training (or comparable) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus.
• Bring your own tools.
• Physically able to move parts/tools and work in positions requiring frequent stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, with high manual dexterity.
