Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Shop Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of diesel-powered, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical equipment. This position offers hands-on work, ongoing training, and opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

+ Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery.

+ Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

+ Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documents.

+ Utilize diagnostic tools and software, including CAT ET and CAT SIS.

+ Inspect, test, and verify equipment performance.

+ Install and replace parts and components as needed.

+ Complete service reports, work orders, and related documentation.

+ Operate lifting devices and shop equipment safely.

+ Maintain a safe work environment and provide excellent service.

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED required.

+ 3+ years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel or heavy equipment.

+ Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

+ Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.

+ Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

+ Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

+ Self-motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions

+ Primarily works indoors in a non-climate-controlled shop.

+ Regular standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

+ Frequent use of tools, diagnostic equipment, and computers.

+ PPE required.

+ Overtime, weekends, shifts, and on-call work may be required.
