As a Technician Intern, you will be part of the Shop Maintenance team at Baranko Companies. In this hands-on learning role, you'll be guided by a mentor as you work with the best equipment in our fleet. It's a great way to explore different paths and see what works for you.RESPONSIBLITIES Learn and perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.Explore diagnostic flow and repair vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, and electrical system problems.Follow manufacturer's specifications and repair procedures.Familiarize yourself with the inventory of spare parts, performing regular stock checks, and ordering new parts.Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including work orders, inspection reports, and any other relevant documents.Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.Perform other related duties as needed.REQUIREMENTS A strong interest in a career in maintenance or construction.Ability to lift to 50lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.Must be willing to work in all weather conditions and be available for after-hours and on-call assignments when needed.Must pass a pre-employment urine drug test and comply with drug and alcohol policies during employment.Must have reliable transportation to and from workBENEFITSMentorship Program with one-on-one coaching and hands-on experienceBasic tool kit provided for the internshipPotential opportunity for full-time employment and/or tuition assistance upon successful completion of internship Founded in 1967 and headquartered in Dickinson, North Dakota, Baranko Companies is a family-owned organization consisting of four businesses, each with its own area of expertise.
