Wanco Inc. is seeking a Shop Welder in our Arvada, CO production facility.
Summary:
The Shop Welder fabricates components by analyzing requirements and successfully welding parts.
Requirements:

Complete welding projects by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assemblies.
·
Fabricate components by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces.
·
Set up jigs and measure assemblies.
·
Verify welding quality and accuracy by inspecting and testing welds.
·
Complete company required documentation.
·
Ensure safe work environment by following procedures complying with company regulations.
·
Keep equipment operational by following operating instructions, perform preventive maintenance, and notify management regarding equipment condition and necessary repairs.
·
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
·
Accomplish manufacturing and organization mission by completing job duties as needed.
Qualifications:
·
3 Years of Welding experience
·
Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
·
Able to work a shift from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays 6:00 am-2:00 pm.
·
Able to work mandatory overtime.
·
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance. instructions, and procedure manuals.
·
Ability to communicate in English.
·
The employee must be able to read blueprints and operate hand or air tools and bridge ports, calipers, squares, and rulers.
·
Required frequent stooping, bending, lifting, and reaching.
·
Lift parts up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.
Reporting: This position reports to the Fabrication Manager.
Salary range: $23-$25 depending on experience and qualifications.
