Job Description SUMMARY
A Shoreside Tankerman Supervisor is responsible for supervising and training Tankermen as well as loading and discharging barges. Following Martin Marines rules and procedures, in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). In addition, perform Tankerman evaluations and barge inspections to assess the capability of doing each job safely and efficiently. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES It is the duty of a Shoreside Tankerman Supervisor to oversee cargo transfer operations (covered by extensive laws and regulations of the U.S. Coast Guard). The objective is to transfer cargo in a safe, pollution-free manner. NO HARM to people, property, or planet.
A Shoreside Tankerman Supervisor is primarily accountable to report unsafe conditions, observe laws, rules, and procedures, intervene to stop unsafe acts, and respect every job task.

Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. The Tankerman is required to be coast guard certified to conduct necessary transfers of the various liquid cargoes handled by Martin Marine. The Tankerman must be able to demonstrate special handling (loading and discharging) of cargo, fuels, and lubes.
Must obtain a U.S.C.G./MMC-MMD PIC-DL and a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
Must maintain a valid drivers license and social security card
Must pass a physical, drug screen and a background investigation.
Must be able to work as a team, take directions, keep required work schedule, have attention to detail and follow work rules
