Mitchell Buick-GMC is a well-established family-owned automotive dealership and is seeking a Showroom Receptionist. Candidates should have an outgoing personality, professional personal appearance and enjoy working with the public! Responsibilities:
- Answer all incoming calls and properly transfer to the appropriate person and/or department.
- Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the time they are put on hold.
- Take thorough messages, indicating the caller’s first and last name, company name if applicable, a good call back number, the time and the message the caller wishes to leave.
- Communicate messages to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Provide basic information to callers who have general inquiries.
- Notify the Sales Managers of telephone outages or operational difficulties.
- Perform clerical and other duties as needed.
- Additional duties when the showroom remodel is completed:
- Greet showroom customers and determine the nature of their visit.
- Direct customers to the correct department, notify the appropriate salesperson that a customer is waiting, or introduce the customer to a salesperson.
Qualifications:
- Professional personal appearance.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Basic math, reading, writing, and typing skills.
- Ability to use a computer and a 10 key calculator.
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Work Schedule:
- M-F 8am-6pm
- Sat 8:30am-6pm
- Sun - CLOSED

Working Conditions:
The employee will work indoors in a professional sales office environment. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Standing, walking, sitting, writing, typing, eye/hand/foot coordination, hearing, speaking and vision (beyond arms length).
- Occasionally bending/stooping/squatting, pushing/pulling, reaching above shoulders and lift/carry 1-25 lbs.
