What You'll Do as a Shredder Operator – 1st Shift:- Lead and coach shredder operators to meet daily production goals
- Ensure proper operation of shred room equipment and dust collection systems
- Remove customer labels from boxes and bags and break down boxes as needed
- Inspect incoming materials and ensure contaminants such as batteries and mercury are not processed
- Complete production worksheets, paperwork, and required documentation
- Assist with warehouse upkeep, including sweeping, storing equipment, and general maintenance tasks
- Follow all safety procedures and assist with safety-related responsibilities
- Tip internally: Position involves operating around heavy equipment and supporting overall shred room operations.
What You Need to Bring to the Shredder Operator – 1st Shift Role:- Previous manufacturing experience required
- Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred
- Ability to match products and sort materials into appropriate bins
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable wearing hearing protection and filtered dust masks when required
- Must wear steel-toe footwear, safety vest, gloves, and eye and ear protection
