Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
The Second Shift Shredder Supervisor has direct responsibility for second shift operations of the shredding department, including but not limited to, operations of the shredder, maintenance of the shredder, mobile equipment, and other processing equipment. They lead a team of operators and maintenance personnel, ensuring safe work practices are followed and that the shredder, downstream processing equipment, and material handling systems are running efficiently. They also coordinate with the Day Shift Shredder Supervisor, the Facility Manager, and other supervisors on ordering parts, maintenance scheduling, and other maintenance needs. SHIFT TIME: 4:00pm-2:00am
