JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for the assembly precision of materials components and sub-assemblies in one of the branded lines. Employment in this position also requires handling lifting less than 50 pounds rotation of headneck sitting standing use of low impact vibratory tools walking contact with metals solvents exposure to noise and atmospheric conditions and the use of personal safety gear for face eyes and feet.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Comply with Company Safety Policies and Procedures
In-depth understanding and application of the Company Safety Consequences Policy
Fasten or assemble light and medium size parts in factory setting
Operate electrical hydraulic and air activated hand tools
Read and follow standard work directions on the assembly line
Ensure each piece meets quality standards as product is assembled
Keep track of production numbers to ensure quota per machine is met
Report any machine malfunctions
Work in a team environment embedded in lean manufacturing methodology
Drive plant performance through Safety Quality Delivery and Cost metrics
Regular attendance timeliness and scheduling flexibility
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES Working knowledge and basic experience using precision measuring equipment.
Working knowledge and basic experience reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
Working knowledge and basic experience using computers and MS Office Suite Word Excel Outlook
Working knowledge and basic experience using handheld power tools
Basic Computer skills advanced skills will be developed
Ability to be Proficient in Microsoft Office suite within 12 months
EDUCATION ANDOR EXPERIENCE The employee should have the following
High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade preferred
1 - 2 years experience in a relevant field
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee should possess the ability to
Must be able to work standing for up to 8-12 hoursshift.
Must be able to kneel squat bendtwist at the waist and stack parts at or above head height
Must have full range of motion ROM of shoulders knees hips elbows wrists and hands to inspect pack and stack finished parts
Must be able to complete repetitive tasks to keep up with IMM cycle times as fast as every 30 seconds
Must be able to wear compliant ear protection when working in areas exposed to noise levels above OSHA threshold limits
Must be able to work in hot environments especially summer months that can exceed 100F
Wear all required personal protective equipment Safety toe shoes ANSI Z87 eye protection CR gloves
Liftmovetransport items up to 50 pounds
Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
Must be able to ascenddescend stairs or ladders
Ability to work around dust chemicals and other substances and in various environmental conditions
