At Avalon, we provide premium transportation services for discerning clients. Unlike traditional transit jobs, this role is centered on a dedicated campus shuttle program. You’ll be driving high-quality equipment, including 28-passenger mini-buses and 35-ft motorcoaches, in a stable, respectful environment. The Role - Predictable Schedule: Enjoy your weekends! This is a Full-Time, Monday through Friday position.
- Streamlined Duties: Your focus is on safe driving and passenger service. No heavy lifting, no ticketing, and no vehicle “dumping”—your only maintenance responsibility is fueling.
- Local Route: All routes start and end right here in Santa Cruz.
What You’ll Need (Requirements) - License: Valid Class B CDL
- Endorsements: Passenger endorsement required — but air brakes NOT required (but are a plus)
- Experience: 2 years of commercial driving experience required
- Compliance: Ability to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug screen, and background check.
- Professionalism: Fluent English and a courteous, "customer-first" attitude.
- Tech Savvy: Ability to use GPS and electronic logging (HOS) apps.
