Shuttle Driver / Public Space Attendant

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a dependable, service-oriented Shuttle Driver / Public Space Attendant to join our team.

In this role, you'll help provide safe and courteous guest transportation while ensuring the hotel's public spaces remain clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout your shift.

Job Purpose

The Shuttle Driver / Public Space Attendant is responsible for safely transporting hotel guests to designated locations while providing friendly, professional service. When not completing shuttle runs, this position supports hotel operations by cleaning, maintaining, and monitoring public areas to ensure a consistently clean and welcoming environment for guests.

What You'll Do

Shuttle & Guest Transportation

• Safely transport hotel guests to and from designated locations using the hotel shuttle.

• Provide friendly, professional, and courteous service to guests entering and exiting the shuttle.

• Assist guests with luggage and belongings as needed.

• Follow established shuttle routes, schedules, and transportation procedures.

• Maintain communication with the Front Desk regarding shuttle requests, guest pickups, delays, and availability.

• Conduct required vehicle inspections and immediately report maintenance or safety concerns.

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel shuttle.

• Follow all traffic laws, hotel safety procedures, and company vehicle policies.

• Maintain any required driver's license, driving qualifications, or documentation necessary for the position.

Public Space Attendant

• Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including the lobby, hallways, entrances, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, meeting areas, and other guest-facing spaces.

• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, wipe surfaces, and remove trash as needed.

• Clean and restock public restrooms throughout the shift.

• Monitor entrances, lobby areas, and other high-traffic spaces to ensure they remain clean and presentable.

• Respond promptly to spills, debris, or other cleanliness concerns.

• Maintain cleanliness around exterior entrances and designated hotel grounds as assigned.

• Assist Housekeeping and other departments with cleaning needs during high-volume periods.

• Properly use and store cleaning products, equipment, and supplies.

• Report maintenance, safety, security, or guest concerns to the appropriate manager.

• Follow hotel sanitation, safety, security, and operating procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned based on hotel operational needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.

• Ability to safely operate the hotel shuttle and comply with company driving requirements.

• Previous hotel, transportation, housekeeping, janitorial, or customer-service experience preferred.

• Strong communication and guest-service skills.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.

• Ability to manage changing priorities based on shuttle requests and hotel operational needs.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Sit and drive for periods of time while operating the hotel shuttle.

• Stand and walk for extended periods while performing public-area duties.

• Bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, and perform repetitive cleaning activities.

• Assist guests with luggage and belongings.

• Lift and carry supplies, equipment, luggage, and other items up to 50 pounds.

• Safely use cleaning equipment, carts, and hotel transportation equipment.

Technology & Equipment

Experience with or ability to learn the following is preferred:

• Hotel shuttle vehicles

• Hotel guest-service and communication systems

• Two-way radios and mobile communication devices

• Commercial cleaning equipment and supplies

• Basic hotel operating systems and procedures
