What You’ll Do:

• Provide specialized critical care for ICU patients, including post-op CABG, valve repairs, and aortic dissection cases
• Monitor and manage complex postoperative patients, including those on PA catheters, balloon pumps, and ECMO support
• Assist with transplant recovery for liver, heart, lung, kidney, and pancreas patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity ICU setting, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Maintain documentation and follow protocols for continuous renal replacement therapy and emergency response procedures

What You Need:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certification required
• Preferably with ICU or surgical recovery experience and familiarity with Epic EMR system
• Adaptability to emergency team assignments and high-acuity patient care

About the Assignment:
This assignment involves providing critical care in a high-acuity ICU setting within a highly regarded medical facility in New Orleans. The unit features a patient ratio of 1:2, float requirements to other ICUs and SDUs, and the possibility of participating in emergency response teams. Shift flexibility is available, with a preference for 3x12-hour night shifts.
