The Sierra Copywriter co-op will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience as a member of our in-house creative team! You will concept and write within the digital and print spaces for both of our home brands.Let us introduce ourselves!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sierra is looking for a talented, invested Writing student to join our Creative Team for six months. Here are your opportunities and tasks:

• Get hands-on experience with the creative process, and exposure to two retail brands.

• Work closely with Copy team to gain knowledge of brand language, messaging & tone.
• Write on-brand, on-strategy, customer-centric copy via projects including:

Emails / Social Media Content / Concept at In-store Photoshoots / Web / Retail Signage

/ Grand Opening Campaigns / Campaign Brainstorms / Internal Corporate projects + more

• Work on "real-life" projects that will shine in your future portfolio! 

• Develop skill set to better collaborate, concept & present.
• Work directly with all levels of Creative and attend collaborative meetings that further expose you to marketing as a whole.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Talent, interest in and affinity for Writing, Copywriting, and Marketing. Potential concentration in Communication, English, Business with an Advertising or Public Relations focus (College of Arts, Media & Design, and College of Social Sciences & Humanities).
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Social media savvy a plus!

• Works well with partners, and enjoys being a part of dynamic team.
• Strong attention to detail, extremely organized with superior time management skills.
• Can work under tight deadlines. 
• Please include writing samples and resume. Online or printed portfolio with relevant examples a plus.

Your Future.High performing co-ops may be offered a Contract Copywriter or Full-Time Copywriter position after successful completion of their co-op experience.

This position has a starting pay range of $24 to $25 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
