Job Description

Description

SAIC is seeking SIGINT Ground Mission Cloud Integration Engineer to support SAIC's Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

As a SIGINT Ground Mission Cloud Integration Engineer, you will shape how SIGINT data is hosted, processed, and delivered across the modern Ground Enterprise. You'll evaluate and evolve mission‑driven architectures spanning hybrid‑cloud environments, Kubernetes‑based services, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and data‑centric engineering approaches. Your work will guide Government leadership through key technical and acquisition decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise priorities.

You will drive cloud modernization efforts, provide unbiased technical assessments, support integration of mission‑critical hosting and processing capabilities, and help accelerate the adoption of containerized services and automated delivery pipelines. This role requires close collaboration with system engineers, mission partners, and acquisition teams-translating complex technical issues into clear, actionable recommendations that support enterprise planning and long‑term modernization.

Responsibilities to include

  • Architecture & Cloud Engineering - Perform technical analysis using modern architectural best practices, FOSS, and COTS to achieve cloud‑agnostic solutions. Evaluate hybrid‑cloud components, on‑prem capacity, resiliency, and system readiness to support evolving mission and acquisition needs.
  • Technical Advisory Support - Serve as a trusted technical advisor for SIGINT ground mission capabilities, focusing on architectures that enable hosting and operations of command‑and‑control, mission management, and mission processing systems.
  • Mission Needs & Requirements Analysis - Assist the Government in identifying mission needs, developing CONOPS, assessing baseline changes, and shaping requirements that influence current and future ground hosting, service design, development, operations, and acquisition activities.
  • System Onboarding & Integration - Support the onboarding, transition, and integration of new systems into operations. Work directly with mission customers and site personnel to ensure new capabilities are effectively leveraged to meet mission objectives.
  • Cross‑System Dependency Assessment - Evaluate integration activities in the context of technical, resource, and schedule dependencies. Present unbiased, analysis‑based findings and recommendations to Government managers.
  • Independent Technical Assessment - Provide objective technical evaluation of project reviews, milestones, and decision gates. Identify risks, issues, opportunities, and mitigations while representing the Government's technical interests.
  • Engineering Studies & Process Analysis - Support Government requests for systems engineering studies, integration assessments, process design, and project management evaluations. Deliver actionable analysis and follow through on accepted recommendations.
  • Technical Documentation & Staff Work - Contribute to the development or assessment of CONOPS, requirements documents, test plans, SOWs, systems engineering plans, and other Government staff work (e.g., action items, weekly reports, senior‑leadership briefings, acquisition artifacts, and source‑selection materials).
  • Cross‑Stakeholder Collaboration

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • Active and current Top Secret/SCI with Poly.

  • Technical knowledge and experience with modern hybrid and cloud-based architectures with working knowledge in the areas of:

  • Cybersecurity:

  • Cloud-based security best practices.

  • Zero Trust Architectures.

  • IC security directives.

  • Cloud engineering:

  • Agile.

  • CI/CD.

  • DevSecOps.

  • Commercial Cloud Vendors (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.)

  • Cloud Native Compute Foundation (CNCF) services.

  • Cloud-based architecture and principles.

  • System Engineering:

  • Evaluation of external capability transitions to new hosting environments.

  • Management and oversight of government directed deployment processes and requirements.

  • Use of collaboration and agile tools, such as Confluence and Jira.

  • SIGINT Ground Experience - Background with SIGINT ground systems, frameworks, and hosting environments; ideally includes COMINT familiarity, spacecraft upgrade support, TIP activities, enterprise testing, and requirements sell‑off.

  • Mission Readiness Knowledge - Working understanding of mission readiness processes, control gates, and entry/exit criteria.

  • Proactive Problem‑Solver - Self‑starter able to anticipate needs, work independently, and define solutions for broad or abstract technical topics.

  • Strong Communicator - Clear, persuasive written and verbal communicator with strong interpersonal judgment.

  • High‑Level Stakeholder Engagement - Confident interacting with senior Government and contractor personnel; effective collaborator and consensus builder across diverse teams.
