What we're seeking:
- Valid Sign Language Interpreter credentials
- Minimum EIPA score of 3.5
- Previous experience working in schools or with high school-aged students preferred
- Ability to interpret complex subject matter in live educational settings
- Commitment to confidentiality and fostering an inclusive environment
- Adaptability and strong collaboration skills
What you'll do:- Provide 1:1 interpretation for high school students in classroom and school-related activities
- Work closely with educators and staff to accurately convey verbal information and facilitate participation
- Support student engagement and understanding of curriculum materials
- Clarify or transliterate information as necessary for student comprehension
- Maintain strict ethical and professional standards in all interactions
- Actively contribute to student progress and advocate for communication needs
