Signals Analyst Level 1

Position Overview

We are seeking a Signals Analyst Level 1 to support critical national security missions in the Fort Meade, Maryland area. Position location is subject to change based on the needs of our Central Maryland client.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and technical signals analysis, with exposure to disciplines such as COMINT, ELINT, FISINT, PROFORMA, RF technologies, and network/protocol analysis.

In this role, you will work in a collaborative, mission-focused environment alongside analysts, engineers, mission stakeholders, and external partners to support signals discovery, collection and tasking activities, and the continued development of SIGINT tradecraft and analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical signals analysis in support of SIGINT mission requirements.
• Support COMINT, Communication Externals (COMEXT), ELINT, FISINT, PROFORMA, and network/protocol analysis activities.
• Analyze modern RF, wireless, and communications technologies.
• Support signals discovery missions using established techniques and methodologies.
• Assist with collection and tasking workflows.
• Conduct network and protocol analysis to identify and characterize communications and signals of interest.
• Apply established SIGINT tradecraft and analytical methodologies.
• Utilize signals and network analysis tools to evaluate mission data.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, mission partners, and external organizations.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of analytical techniques and mission capabilities.
• Document and communicate technical findings to appropriate mission stakeholders.

Required Knowledge & Skills

Qualified candidates should possess knowledge or experience in several of the following areas:

• Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and signals analysis.
• COMINT, including Communication Externals/COMEXT.
• ELINT – Electronic Intelligence.
• FISINT – Foreign Instrumentation Signals Intelligence.
• PROFORMA analysis.
• Network and protocol analysis.
• Modern RF and communications technologies.
• Signals discovery missions and techniques.
• Collection and tasking workflows.
• SIGINT tradecraft and analytic development.
• Working collaboratively with mission teams and external partners.
• Signals and network analysis tools such as:
  • SEDB
  • THRESHER
  • Wireshark

Education & Experience

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of relevant experience.

A qualifying degree should be in:

• Engineering
• Mathematics
• Computer Science
• A related technical field

Alternative education and experience combinations may be considered for candidates who have completed relevant military degree programs, equivalent programs, or qualifying military training:

• Associate's degree + four (4) years of relevant experience, or
• High school diploma/GED + six (6) years of relevant experience

Qualifying military training may include:

• 9141 – Navy Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst
• 1N2A – Air Force Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst
• 451/461 – Intermediate Signals Analysis
• 452 – Advanced Signals Analysis
• MCSAP – Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program
• MESAP – Military ELINT Signals Analysis Program
• MOSAP – Military OpELINT Signals Analysis Program
• Other equivalent relevant military training programs

A broader range of degree disciplines may be considered for candidates who have completed one of the relevant military or signals analysis training programs listed above.

Relevant Experience

Relevant professional experience must be in one or more of the following areas:

• COMINT signals analysis
• ELINT signals analysis
• FISINT signals analysis
• PROFORMA signals analysis
• Aerospace systems design or engineering
• Communications systems design or engineering
• Electronic systems design or engineering
• Industrial systems design or engineering

Security Clearance

Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph at the time of application and meet all applicable customer and security requirements.
