Silicone Screen Print Press Technician

Location: Newport News, VA

A Day in This Role

You arrive, review the day’s job tickets with our design team, and plan your press runs. You mix inks to spec, prep and expose screens, and dial in registration before sending the first test print. Once the colors are perfect, you run production across silicone components and other specialty materials, inspecting each pull for crisp detail and color accuracy. Between runs, you keep the press humming—cleaning screens, organizing inks, and confirming inventory so nothing slows you down. If a print isn’t landing just right, you troubleshoot settings, tweak off-contact, or adjust squeegee pressure to get flawless results on time.

What You’ll Handle

• Set up and operate screen printing equipment for a variety of projects and substrates, including silicone components.
• Prepare screens and mix inks to job specifications and timelines.
• Inspect prints continuously to ensure consistency, accuracy, and premium finish.
• Maintain presses, screens, and workspace for safe, efficient operation.
• Collaborate closely with designers to understand artwork requirements and schedules.
• Diagnose print issues and implement adjustments to improve output.
• Monitor supplies and place orders to keep production on track.
• Stay current with industry methods and emerging techniques to elevate quality.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; hands-on screen printing experience is a plus.
• Meticulous attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship.
• Comfort working independently and within a team setting.
• Basic understanding of color theory and design fundamentals.
• Familiarity with screen printing tools, processes, and workflows.
• Strong time management with the ability to hit deadlines.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as needed.
• Positive, learn-it-all mindset and openness to new processes.
