The Silk Screen Operator will work within a small team to produce high-quality prints on plastics and vinyl materials using both manual and automatic screen printing machines. This role involves preparing screens, mixing solvent-based inks, ensuring precise stencil alignment, and maintaining equipment through basic cleaning and minor repairs. The operator is responsible for monitoring print quality and adhering to safety standards throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
Prepare screens for printing projects
Mix solvent-based inks to achieve desired colors
Operate manual and automatic screen printing machines
Align stencils accurately for consistent print quality
Inspect prints for defects and ensure quality standards
Set up printing jobs according to specifications
Perform basic machine maintenance and minor repairs
Troubleshoot issues during printing runs
Comply with all safety protocols during operation
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year experience in screen printing
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of screen printing techniques and ink application
Experience in equipment maintenance for screen printing machines
