We are seeking an intern to help build a secure, containerized AI agent environment for modeling and simulation workflows.

The project involves integrating agentic CLI tools such as CloudCode, Hermes Agent, Gemini CLI, or similar frameworks with locally hosted LLMs using Ollama inside Docker containers. The goal is to create an AI-assisted engineering workspace capable of interacting with simulation repositories, documentation, configuration systems, and analysis workflows while remaining fully isolated from external networks.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure AI agent CLI frameworks inside Docker

  • Connect agent frameworks to locally hosted LLMs through Ollama

  • Configure secure containerized environments with restricted/no network access

  • Build workflow tooling, commands, MCP tools/resources, and plugins tailored to simulation workflows

  • Integrate simulation documentation and engineering repositories into the agent workspace

  • Demonstrate the ability for the agent to:

    • Configure vehicle simulations

    • Execute workflows

    • Perform analysis and post-processing

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Docker and Linux

  • Python experience

  • Experience with CLI tooling and developer workflows

  • Interest in AI infrastructure and local/self-hosted LLM systems

  • Familiarity with Ollama, MCP tooling, or agentic AI frameworks is a plus

  • Experience with simulation, scientific computing, or aerospace workflows is a plus

Security Context

This work is performed in a high-security engineering environment. All AI tooling must operate within isolated Docker containers to prevent simulation code, vehicle data, and engineering artifacts from leaving the local environment.

Outcome

The final deliverable is a working AI agent harness capable of securely assisting with engineering modeling and simulation workflows entirely within a local containerized environment.
