POSITION SUMMARY
The Simulation Coordinator is a full-time, 12 month assistant professor in residence position responsible for leadership, strategic oversight, and management of low-fidelity to high-fidelity clinical simulation learning activities for students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications for the Simulation Coordinator are: Is eligible for or holds a license as a registered nurse in the state of Illinois, at least two years of experience in clinical nursing practice, additional simulation experience, and a minimum of an earned master's degree with a major in nursing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of prior experience teaching with simulation (preferred). Experience in teaching nursing, curriculum assessment and evaluation, budget management, and leadership experience. Experience with simulation technology, developing simulation scenarios, and maintaining simulation equipment. Earned doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, EdD, or related field) preferred. Candidates actively progressing towards completion of a doctoral degree will also be considered.

Advanced computer skills with the use of simulation equipment and technology.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Simulation Coordinator acts as a liaison with administration, faculty, and students in providing simulation-based education to fulfill the needs of the nursing curriculum. Other functions and responsibilities are the same as other faculty to the University, College of Education and Health Sciences, and the Department of Nursing.
