Talascend is currently seeking a Simulator Hardware Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Bellevue, Washington (State).OverviewThe role involves supporting the development of the training simulator, collecting design information, reviewing documentation, and ensuring on-time delivery of the simulator hardware.ResponsibilitiesSupport the TSN development in generalCollect design information for the TSN hardware designReview design documentations from the simulator hardware suppliersReport and document the issues of the simulator hardware supplyAttend project team meetings with the design groups and simulator suppliersSupport the integration of the simulator software and hardwareTravel to the simulator supplier's factory and the hardware site for progress reviewCoordinate with the hardware suppliers and the simulator design team to ensure an on-time delivery of the Natrium Training SimulatorOn-site support for the TSN hardware delivery, installation, and testingQualificationsB.S. or M.S. in nuclear or other relevant engineering10+ years of related experience in the simulator industryRequirementsFamiliarity with simulator software (3Keymaster, Jade, Corys, Orchid, etc.) is a plusExperience in successful delivery of nuclear power plant simulators is highly desirableFamiliar with ANSI/ANS-3.5 – Nuclear Power Plant Simulators for Use in Operator Training and ExaminationExperience with nuclear power plant design or operations is a plusExperience with first-of-a-kind or high temperature nuclear reactor design projects is a plusStrong technical writing skillsEffective communication skillsThe successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamworkWe thank all applicants for their interest.
