Sitdown Forklift Operator

We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join a fast-paced warehouse and distribution team within the automotive battery industry. This position is ideal for someone who is safety-focused, comfortable working with heavy products, and experienced with warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move, load, unload, and organize automotive batteries and other materials.
• Load and unload delivery trucks, trailers, and customer vehicles.
• Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Recover and process used batteries according to established procedures.
• Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment or delivery.
• Assist with shipping and receiving operations.
• Perform inventory counts and help maintain accurate inventory records.
• Stock and organize products in designated warehouse locations.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing products for damage or discrepancies.
• Assist with customer battery installations when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures when handling batteries and operating equipment.
• Provide occasional delivery support to help maintain strong customer relationships.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately.

Qualifications

• Previous sit-down forklift experience required.
• Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
• Comfortable performing physical warehouse duties throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely handle and move heavy automotive batteries.
• Experience with pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
• Basic inventory and order-processing knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
