Site Attendant

Our client, an industry-leading excavation company, is seeking a Site Attendant to join their team. As a Site Attendant, you will be part of the operations support team, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of our excavation yard. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Site Attendant

Location: Mechanicsville, VA

Pay Range: $20.00
Hours: 6:30 am to 5pm, M-F, with occasional Saturday.

What's the Job?

• Oversee daily activity at the excavation yard, tracking trucks and equipment entering and exiting the site
• Ensure smooth traffic flow and maintain accurate records of loads and materials
• Monitor trucks using wash stations upon exit when necessary
• Direct trucks to appropriate dumping areas within the pit
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, foremen, and office personnel to coordinate activities

What's Needed?

• Ability to read and write legibly
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Comfortable operating a tablet or similar technology
• Mandatory CPR/First Aid certification
• Preferred GMM (General Mineral Mining) Certification; training can be provided for strong candidates
