Role snapshot

  • Location path: Start in Oklahoma; support projects across multiple states.
  • Travel: Regular travel with per diem at the GSA rate.
  • Reporting line: Direct to the Site Superintendent.
  • Focus: On‑site construction oversight + pre‑construction routing for energy infrastructure (including gen‑tie corridors).

What you’ll do

  • Represent the company on site, overseeing third‑party contractors and vendors.
  • Drive compliance with OSHA, electrical, LOTO, and corporate construction standards.
  • Manage installation activities: conduit, cable installation, testing, splicing, underground locate, foundations, and allied electrical work.
  • Maintain a visible safety presence to safeguard personnel and equipment.
  • Produce daily reports: logs, photos, issue tracking, and leadership updates.
  • Review plant design criteria, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Advance route development for utility‑scale infrastructure and gen‑tie alignment.
  • Complete field visits to validate routing assumptions and confirm pre‑construction readiness.
  • Apply value‑engineering to optimize routing against cost, permitting, environmental constraints, and construction feasibility.
  • Partner with Engineering, Environmental Services, Legal, Development, and Land to assess routing risks and tradeoffs.
  • Use Unifier and planning tools to support early‑stage estimating and planning; review backlogs to inform priorities.
  • Maintain precise documentation, daily records, and field files.
  • Verify contractor performance against project specifications and quality standards.
  • Support change‑management and continuous improvement within estimating and pre‑construction.

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years in construction, energy, utility, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven field management or electrical construction oversight experience.
  • Strong grasp of routing criteria, value engineering, and permitting‑related factors.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, route maps, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Knowledge of LOTO and OSHA standards; robust field safety practices.
  • 5+ years reviewing contracts or technical requirements for construction work.
  • Military electrical/engineering experience (e.g., Navy) is a plus.
  • Ability to travel across the U.S. for extended assignments.
