Overview
System One is in search of a Site Continuous Improvement Manager for a privately held company to join their team in Longview, TX. This position leads and supports continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organizational and operational excellence objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organizational and operational excellence objectives.
  • Partner with plant and operations leaders to identify performance gaps and develop improvement plans.
  • Facilitate improvement activities, including process reviews, improvement workshops, and hands-on improvement events focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Coach leaders and frontline employees on continuous improvement principles, standard work, and structured problem-solving methods.
  • Support the development and maintenance of standardized processes, documentation, and work practices.
  • Analyze operational performance data and metrics to track progress and communicate results.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, productivity improvement, and process stability while ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements.
  • Support change management efforts by promoting continuous improvement behaviors, employee engagement, and accountability.
  • Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of direct reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations environments, including supporting or leading continuous improvement initiatives, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and operational excellence principles.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams through collaboration and coaching.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data.
  • Understanding of operational performance metrics and process improvement methodologies.
  • Effective project management skills focusing on execution and sustainability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to support change initiatives and build credibility with leaders and frontline teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical improvement solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Frequent interaction with leaders, supervisors, and production employees.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during manufacturing floor visits.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds as required.
  • Ability to travel periodically to support operational improvement activities.
