Location: Tambark Creek Elementary School, 4419 180th St SE, Bothell, WA 98012 Availability: Monday-Friday; Must be available for shifts between 6:20 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Site hours are 6:20-9:00am and 3:15-6:30pm M-TH & 2:00-6:30pm Friday. What you will do at the Y: As a Before & After School Site Coordinator,youwill lead andoversee the daily operation of ahigh-qualitylicensed school-agechild careprogram.You'lllead and support a team of staff, create a safe and engaging environment for children, and build positive relationships with families and school partners. During the school year, you'll workinour before and after-school programs. During the summer,you'llserve in a leadership role at one of our YMCA day camps. Work Schedule This is anin-person, full-time, year-round positionworking directly with children,Monday-Friday. Site Coordinators typically work a combination of: Morning program hours before school Administrative hours during the school day Afternoon program hours after school On non-school days and summer breaks: Full Day program hours, 8-hour shift. Most Site Coordinators work 35-40 hoursper week, with a mix ofleadership, administrative, and direct programin-ratioresponsibilities. Why Work atTheY? Be part of an organization that is committed to helping every child and family thrive. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Lead the daily operations of a licensed before and after-school program. Coordinate with theProgramDirector to develop, prepare,and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning, belonging, and healthy development. Supervision of all children and related program area activities. Supervise, coach, and support a team of youth development staff. Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for every child. Build positive relationships with families, school staff, and community partners. Ensure compliance with state and local regulations in addition to YMCA standards and procedures. Maintain materials, equipment, and programfacility. Maintain required program records. Complete administrative responsibilities including scheduling, planning, communication, and documentation. Support nearby Y school-age care sites as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum age 18, 21 preferred Two or more years working inlicensedSchool-Age Care program, with children in a developmentallyappropriate groupsetting.Preferred,YMCA experience. Meet educational and experience qualificationsestablishedbytheDCYF (Dept of Children, Youth and Families Have a high school diploma or equivalent; Complete thirty college credits in any one hundred-level or above college coursework or equivalent; OR Have completed at least twelve college credits in any one hundred-level or above college coursework or equivalent AND complete anadditionaleighteen college credits in any one hundred-level or above coursework or equivalent within five years of employment Provide documentationof all certification and training requirementsestablishedbytheDCYF, including position prerequisites, current negative TB test, fully vaccinated for MMR/other required vaccinations*, and portable background check Experience planning, organizing, and implementinghigh quality developmentallyappropriate programming Experience working with individuals, families and communities of diverse backgrounds and abilities Fluency in second language desired *medicalor religious exemptions may be possible Our Commitment to Inclusion:The Y is made up of people of all ages and from everywalk of life, working side by side to strengthen communities.
