What You'll Do:
The Site Coordinator II is responsible for managing multiple patient care schedules, delivering excellent customer service, and providing support staff supervision to ensure the highest degree of efficiency in patient care and patient flow at BRH clinic locations. The Site Coordinator II also coordinates day-to-day clinic operations at assigned clinic/practice locations under the supervision of the Practice Manager or Director of Practice Operations. Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for effectively organizing and/or prioritizing work to assist with efficient patient flow in the clinic.
- Assists in the completion of routine clinic tasks. Ensures consistency in maintaining: stock supplies, forms, sterile instrument inventory, equipment, appropriate exam room inventory and set-up, appropriate disposal of biohazard material, etc. Timing and assignment of tasks determined by practice Management Staff at clinic location.
- Follows protocols and performs accurate and thorough work-ups and check-ins of all patients.
- Assists with procedures with the providers including setting up treatment rooms, patient education, and completion of appropriate paperwork
- Appropriately documents patient information in patient record-including but not limited to medication reconciliation and updated health histories.
- Responsible for providing administrative support for clinic tasks and provider team.
- Reviews charts prior to appointments and retrieves any needed information from physicians, pharmacies, or other agencies to complete the patient record
- Completes appropriate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record and any other applicable forms/tracking logs, etc.
- Maintains maintenance and control logs on medical and storage equipment.
- Enhances clinic operations by assisting other staff/departments when time and workload permits, at the direction of the clinic Practice Management staff.
- Responsible for completion of clinical work and assigned tasks related to patient care.
- Performs CLIA-waived laboratory testing, EKG's, injections, and other treatments per physician/midlevel orders, as applicable per discipline and documented competence.
- Gives patient instructions/education to patients as directed by medical provider.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelors in Business or Health Care Administration or related field, preferred
- Specific Certification/Licensure Requirements include:
LPN or RN (preferred): Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse currently licensed to practice in state of North Carolina
MA: Medical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant. May also have CNA certification with at least one year clinical experience working as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Two years' experience working in an outpatient medical practice setting required.
- Bilingual preferred, but not required. If bilingual, provides language support services, as requested, based on patient and clinic needs.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, with Electronic Medical Record experience required.
