Site DirectorBoys & Girls Clubs of Utah County & Southern UtahPosition Type: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-ExemptLocation: Beaver, Carbon, Iron, Utah, Wasatch, and Washington CountiesSchool Year: August 1-May 31 (Summer program opportunities vary by area)Hourly Range: $23-28 per hour, 10:00-6:00, (Hours may vary slightly by site)Reports to: Area Director or Area Lead (as assigned)Position SummaryThe Site Director is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, safety, and daily operation of an assigned Boys & Girls Club afterschool program site. This role ensures high-quality youth development programming, staff supervision, grant compliance, enrollment management, and strong partnerships with schools, families, and the community.The Site Director creates a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character development while ensuring operational excellence and achievement of organizational goals.Key ResponsibilitiesYouth Development & Program OperationsPlan, implement, and oversee high-quality youth development programs aligned with Boys & Girls Clubs and grant requirements.Ensure programs support academic success, healthy lifestyles, and leadership development.Maintain accurate attendance, enrollment, membership, and grant records.Ensure programs are culturally responsive and meet the diverse needs of youth.Monitor program quality through PQA standards, Align for Success, surveys, and reporting systems.Maintain compliance with all Child Care Licensing, BGCA, and nutrition requirements.Safety & ComplianceEnsure the site maintains a physically and emotionally safe environment for youth and staff.Follow BGCA Safety Checklist procedures and all organizational safety policies.Complete monthly safety observations and corrective actions using the Monthly Site List.Maintain compliance with all grant deliverables and reporting deadlines.Staff Leadership & AdministrationRecruit, supervise, train, coach, evaluate, and provide feedback to site staff and volunteers.Maintain the required staffing ratio (1:15).Conduct weekly staff meetings and monthly 1:1 coaching sessions with direct reports.Ensure payroll accuracy and timely submission.Process personnel actions within required timelines.Foster a collaborative and positive team culture.School & Community PartnershipsMaintain positive relationships with school administrators, teachers, families, and community partners.Communicate program updates, expectations, and participant progress effectively.Collaborate with school personnel to support student success and site operations.At least 6 hours of your job will be dedicated to strength school day alignment and work in the school day. Operational ManagementManage site budgets, purchasing, inventory, and supplies.Support enrollment, recruitment, and retention efforts.Collect and analyze program and attendance data through BGCUC reporting tools.Ensure proper documentation and incident reporting procedures are followed.Conduct surveys for data purposes and make changes to the program in response to the data collection.Organizational Core ValuesIntegrityDemonstrates honesty, transparency, and ethical decision-making.CollaborationWorks effectively across teams and contributes to a positive team environment.AccountabilityFollows through on commitments and maintains high standards of stewardship and safety.RespectValues diversity, inclusion, and professionalism in all interactions.ExcellenceDemonstrates innovation, continuous improvement, and commitment to quality service delivery.Professional Development GoalEmployees are expected to actively pursue professional growth opportunities that strengthen leadership and job performance.Examples include:Completing coursework through Spillett UniversityObtaining relevant certificationsParticipating in ToastmastersDeveloping technical skills such as Excel or data managementContinuing higher education coursework or degree programsProfessional development activities must be approved by the employee's supervisor.Required QualificationsMust be at least 21 years of age.Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.Knowledge of youth development principles and practices.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.CPR/First Aid Certification and Food Handler Permit (or ability to obtain within three months).Valid driver's license if operating BGCUC vehicles.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with youth ages 5–18 in an educational or youth development setting.Experience supervising staff or volunteers.Proficiency with Google Suite and general computer applications.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to lift 25–50 pounds.Mission AlignmentThe Site Director supports Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County & Southern Utah's mission to inspire and empower youth to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens through safe, engaging, and high-quality afterschool and summer programming.
