Contract: 1 year | Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid)
Are you the on-site driver who keeps high-stakes capital work on track at power generation facilities? Join us to lead Base Capital Energy Supply projects—coal, gas, and renewable—across the PSCo region, including overhaul campaigns up to $100M.
What’s the challenge?
- Own day-to-day field execution with zero-compromise safety, rigorous quality, and disciplined schedule control.
- Coordinate contractors and vendors—access, logistics, sequencing—and solve issues as they arise.
- Run safety huddles, enforce LOTO/PPE, flag hazards, and manage incident response.
- Verify quality in the field; uphold specifications; track and close out NCRs.
- Publish crisp daily and weekly status reports for project teams and leadership.
- Influence the plan early: contribute to scope development, constructability at 30/60/90/IFC, and schedule logic.
- Support estimating, bid reviews, vendor down-selects, and site logistics for laydown, access, equipment routes, and utilities.
- Right-size resources—crews, equipment, materials—and stage for efficiency.
- Expose schedule risks and drive mitigations and contingencies.
- Coordinate inspections, witness/hold points, and pre-commissioning testing with QC.
- Lead daily huddles; track performance to drawings and the plan of the day.
- Manage deliveries, inventory, equipment utilization, and housekeeping.
- Keep complete daily logs, weekly progress updates, and safety/quality records.
Do you have the background?
- 5+ years in construction, maintenance, operations, engineering, or utility/power generation environments.
- Associate degree or technical degree.
- Field fluency: methods, materials, terminology, and inspection practices.
- Knowledge of utility/power-generation standards, procedures, and environmental/safety regulations.
- Strength in planning—crew sizing, duration estimating, and schedule development support.
- Comfort with work packages, construction task planning, and work/asset management systems.
