Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Site Project Manager to support a chemicals industry project in New Orleans, LA. This individual will be responsible for overseeing on-site project execution, coordinating contractors and project teams, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and driving successful project completion within schedule and budget requirements
Lead and manage day-to-day site activities for a chemicals manufacturing project.
Coordinate project execution with engineering, construction, operations, and contractor teams.
Develop and maintain project schedules while ensuring milestones are achieved safely and efficiently.
Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues affecting scope, schedule, cost, or quality.
Ensure compliance with site safety requirements, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Conduct site inspections and verify work is performed according to project specifications and industry standards.
Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, plant personnel, contractors, and leadership teams.
Manage field resources and contractors to ensure safe and successful project execution.
Support project commissioning, startup, and turnover activities as needed.
5+ years of Site Management, Construction Management, or Project Management experience in chemical manufacturing, petrochemical, refining, or other heavy industrial environments.
Working knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
Exposure to Rockwell Automation platforms including ControlLogix, CompactLogix, FactoryTalk, and Studio 5000.
Proven experience managing field execution for capital projects, plant upgrades, or facility expansions.
Strong understanding of construction management, contractor coordination, project scheduling, and safety programs.
Experience working in operating chemical or industrial facilities.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
